Welcome to Edith Cavell Lower School!

On behalf the staff, governors and pupils of Edith Cavell Lower School, I would like to warmly welcome you to our web site.

At Edith Cavell we firmly believe that each child is an individual, each with their own gifts and talents, which we endeavour to nurture and develop through their time at the school. We strive to ensure that our pupils thrive in an environment where they feel happy, valued and safe. Through teaching of the highest quality, a range of stimulating activities and visits, we motivate our children to develop a passion for learning, a respect for themselves, others and the world around them. The relationship between school and home is one of the most important factors in ensuring the success of each and every child.  Therefore parents and family members are always welcome in school.

Please click the link to our school prospectus for full details of the curriculum and school day.

I look forward to welcoming you to the school and working in partnership with you.

This is a good school. Pupils achieve well because teaching is effective. Teachers ensure that, regardless of background or ability, all pupils make good progress. Standards throughout the school, particularly in reading and writing, are rising rapidly."
